A Knight and a Kindle

Howdy, the crew has made a few changes around the site and created this handy guide for sideloading ebooks. But since OpenAI and their Chatbot from the netherworld recently started making headlines, we asked it to rewrite a draft from the perspective of a Knight during the age of King Arthur. Why? Because we like playing with these new models. And it didn’t do too bad a job:

As a noble knight of King Arthur’s court, I am often called upon to journey far and wide on quests of great importance. In my pursuit of knowledge and understanding, I have transcribed my scrolls, jousting techniques, and accounts of my quests onto my trusty Kindle e-Reader so that I may have access to these essential texts even when I am not in the comfort of my own castle.

But the benefits of my Kindle e-Reader do not stop there. With the ability to sideload epub documents, I am able to expand my reading beyond my own written accounts and delve into the vast array of literature available to me. Whether it be histories, tales of chivalry, or even the latest scribes on the art of sword-fighting, my Kindle allows me to continue my journey of learning and growth even when I am far from home.

To sideload an epub onto your Kindle e-Reader, you will need to gather the necessary tools. These include a computer with internet access, a USB cable to connect your Kindle to the computer, and of course, the epub document you wish to load onto your e-Reader.

Once you have these tools at your disposal, it is time to begin the process.

  1. Connect your Kindle to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. On your computer, open the folder where your epub document is stored.
  3. Drag and drop the epub file from its folder onto the Kindle’s “documents” folder, which should appear on your computer when you connect to the e-Reader.
  4. Disconnect your Kindle from the computer once the file has finished transferring.
  5. On your Kindle, navigate to the “documents” folder, where you will find the epub file you just transferred.
  6. Tap on the file to open it and begin reading.

With a little bit of practice and patience, you too can master the art of side-loading an epub onto your Kindle e-Reader, allowing you to continue your journey of knowledge and learning even when you are away from your castle library.
